A Step Away
In an emotionless world...
In a fearless world...
Without hope, with no worries
Without love, with no tears
No cares, no sleepless nights
No goodbyes, no hunger
With these nothings out of the way,
What shall stand before us,
What, in our path, shall lie?
Yet without emotions
Without fears, hope, love
With no fears nor cares
Without those sleepless nights...
Why would we still desire these paths?
Emotions carry, fears drive
Hope supports, love comforts
And caring nurtures
Without these, what shall we become?

A Day Too Far
The darkness stretches to the end of the earth. The change is felt by all. Fear is smelled in the damp air. Lightning flashes in the distance, the soft rolling of thunder is heard.
What has been dreaded for centuries, has finally come.
The Overcast Heart
While we hide our faces in shame
Tears stain our ever forlorn cheeks
As our expressions assume a permanent sorrow
